How to Bridge $ARC to Polygon in 7 easy steps?

To add to a faster eco-system, $ARC tokens, which are the bedrock of the entire ecosystem currently on Binance Smart Chain, are being bridged to Polygon blockchain for a much broader utility in a more efficient manner. Bridging is simply the process of taking your crypto from one network (In this case, Binance Smart Chain) and transferring it to another network such as Polygon.

Why Bridge?

The arcade network is being built on the Polygon Chain to facilitate faster transactions and better network efficiency. This simply means that the $ARC token, built on BSC (Binance Smart Chain), has to also be on the polygon to be eligible for transactions on the ArcadeNetwork. The only requirement here is to visit the ArcadeNetwork bridge and bridge between Binance Smart Chain (BSC) and Polygon Chain (MATIC). Each token is bound to a standard and protocol that its native blockchain can only interpret. For example, in the case of BSC, the token protocol is BEP20; in the case of Ethereum, it is ERC20; and in the case of Polygon, it is ST-20. Without the bridge, if we directly send tokens from one address on one network to another address on another network, there is a high chance we might lose our funds and never get them back.

How to bridge?

Now that we know how important transferring funds through the proper channel is, let’s see how users can bridge $ARC Tokens from BSC to Polygon.

Step 1: Connect your wallet: The user can go to https://portal.arcadenet.io/bridge. Connect their existing wallet (either on Polygon Network or BSC Network) to the bridge (such as MetaMask).

Step 2: Enter the swap amount: Users can enter the amount they want to swap. Once done, they can click the transfer button to transfer and swap.

Step 5: Confirm the transaction: Once a transfer is initiated, a MetaMask window will open as a pop up to confirm the transaction.

Step 6: Deposit the tokens: Once the transaction is completed, users will see a deposit token button; it will be reflected on the other network once they deposit the tokens.

Step 7: Confirm the deposit: Once the deposit is initiated, once again MetaMask window popup will appear to confirm the transaction.

Once the transaction is complete, you will be able to see the transaction details in the right corner. You just bridged $ARC to be used on the Polygon chain.

Issues:

• Suppose the transaction was successful, and for some reason, it doesn’t reflect on the platform. In that case, they can go to their MetaMask and copy the transaction hash of the last transaction and submit the transaction hash by clicking on Already transferred? Submit the transfer hash link below the Transfer Button.
• Similarly, if the deposit was a success and they don’t see the updates on the platform, they can submit the deposit hash.
• And lastly, if everything went smoothly, and you still don’t see the tokens on the other network, then you should click on add $ARC to Wallet button on the top of the navbar, to add that token to their MetaMask wallet so that it can reflect the tokens’ balance.
