Cryptocurrency spam bots stop operating as Musk pledges to pursue fraudsters

Following Elon Musk’s most recent updates to the social media site, some members of the cryptocurrency Twitter community have already reported a decrease in the number of scam bots.

The crypto community is reporting a sharp decrease in the number of bots engaging in their tweets following Elon Musk’s most recent attack on crypto-automated spam on Twitter.

The CEO of Twitter teased that “bots are in for a surprise tomorrow” in a message on December 11. Later, the CEO said that the platform will be blocking the IP addresses of “known bad actors” after identifying a small group of individuals responsible for a large number of bot/troll accounts.

He continued by saying that even though con artists might use various strategies to get over the IP address limitation, Twitter will “take them down as soon as they come up.”

Dogecoin co-creator and pseudonym of Billy Markus, Shibetoshi Nakamoto, wrote to Musk on December 11 saying, “I created a test post, and rather than seeing 50 bot responses I only saw single much progress, extremely hype.”

Other people went to test Musk’s most recent adjustments. A graphic was provided by PlanB, a Bitcoin BTC tickers down $16,935 analyst and investor, to test how many bots would respond. As of the time of writing, no comments from bots had shown.

While Twitter seems to be marginally better to use lately,” Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin added, he couldn’t tell if there had been a decrease in bots because of Musk.

I have no idea how to distinguish between the work Elon accomplished, Crypto-Winter, and my brain’s imagined modifications.

Some claim that the bot responses still appear on posts, but the platform rapidly deletes them.

After taking over as CEO of Twitter in October, Musk saw the elimination of Twitter spam and scam bots as one of his primary goals.

Musk also made a passing mention in his most recent tweet that the company plans to sue Twitter scammers in the future, but he provided no further information.
